My first introduction to CrossFit was by a friend who recently joined the Air Force. It was a very eye opening experience that immediately changed my outlook on exercise/fitness forever. As it turns out “Fran” was my first WOD (workout of the day), 21-15-9 thrusters and pull-ups. Considering myself a pretty “fit” person at the time, I was humbled quickly and realized that there was a whole other world out there that I needed to learn more about.
Looking back on what I was always told and taught was the right way to train I can only say one thing… What was I thinking??? If I had only come across CrossFit 10-15 years earlier… Who knows???
Since 2005 I have been personal training and involved in different areas of the fitness industry. I have seen many people wander around aimlessly looking for something; better health, weight loss, a sense of community just to find the same disappointment. “Routine is the enemy.” CrossFit Carbon is an opportunity for me to share my knowledge, experience and passion for fitness with others.
