Team Jeremy – May 3rd

14 Apr 2014, Posted by CrossFit Carbon in Blog, Events

jerKB1Team Jeremy was created in 2011 in order to support the family of Jeremy Kuchenmeister, as he fought his battle with cancer.  Jeremy unfortunately earned his angel wings on May 3, 2013 after a long and hard fight for over 3 years.  One of Jeremy’s goals was to support children with cancer once he was cured.

In order to honor Jeremy and his wishes to support a cure for childhood cancer, Team Jeremy will be supporting Keegan Denecke, a 7 year old girl, diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Keegan is a beautiful, strong and courageous young girl that needs all the support and prayers sent her way!  Please “like” “Kisses for Keegan” on Facebook to follow her journey.  CLICK HERE to learn more about Keegan and follow her story.

To honor Jeremy and support Keegan, CrossFit Prevail is hosting Team Jeremy Supports Kisses for Keegan! ALL proceeds will go the Denecke family to aide with medical bills; please make donations payable to “Team Jeremy Fund.”  There will also be a raffle ($5 for 10 & $10 for 25), t-shirt sales, kids WOD, and the “Team Jeremy” WOD.

CrossFit Level 1 Course: March 29-30

19 Feb 2014, Posted by CrossFit Carbon in Blog, Events

crossfit-level-one-course-belgium

The Level 1 Certificate Course introduces the methodology, terminology, and movements foundational to CrossFit.  The course is comprised of lectures, movement “break out” sessions for hands-on practice, and workouts.  These elements enable participants to better apply the program for personal use and to begin training others with CrossFit.

This course has a 55 multiple-choice question written test at its conclusion.  Those who meet the requirements below, which include passing the test, earn the designation of: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.  The test is non-mandatory: a Certificate of Attendance is for those declining to take the test and for those who fail the test.  A Certificate of Attendance does not afford an individual the rights and privileges as those associated with a Level 1 Trainer Certificate.
