CARBON CROSSFIT

At Carbon, our group sessions focus on the individual athlete and their specific needs. Participating in a group environment has been proven to push individuals and achieve a higher intensity workout! We pride ourselves on a very professional environment that will allow you to excel. You will not have to lift weights beyond your level or perform movements beyond your skill set. At Carbon we pride ourselves on working with athletes of all different types and ability levels. Carbon Vitality

Vitality is life, life force, health, youth, or ability to live or exist. The word vitality is derived from the Latin word vita, which means life.

Vitality is a program for 55+-year-old men and women who are looking to increase functional fitness, strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Additionally, this program focuses on restoring range of motion, increasing bone density and muscle mass, while sharpening the brain to body connection. No previous exercise history is required.

The effects of aging are unavoidable, but we have a choice between sedentary aging, which leads to a myriad of negative life outcomes, and active aging, which can be associated with greater longevity and quality of life. At Carbon, we choose the latter and hope you will too!

CARBON KIDS

If you are looking for a way for your child to stay healthy, learn about fitness and nutrition, and most importantly have FUN, then you should sign them up for Carbon Kids today!

Our Carbon Kids program will focus on teaching your child the correct form and mechanics of functional movements during class each day, encompassing an endless variety of workouts, all focused around having fun! They will develop a love for fitness at a young age that will stay with them throughout their life. We treat each child as an individual so they will be coached at their ability level and experience a feeling of accomplishment every time they come in.

CARBON Gymnastics

Gymnastics training is one of the three foundational modalities of CrossFit. Carbon Gymnastics offers supplemental training based on strength, conditioning and skill development designed to help our members excel in their CrossFit training.

Carbon Gymnastics is an excellent assistance program in building and maintaining healthy, powerful athletes of any level, sport or discipline. This all begins with a solid foundation of strength, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. You can never be too good at the basics. We will break down movements and positions, striving for virtuosity to help translate into being a better all-around athlete and being more effective in the rest of your life.

Each cycle will focus on a particular movement (i.e. handstands, pull-ups, or muscle-ups). Some cycles will be open to all athletes, while others may require prerequisite skill. This will be made clear for each cycle. Skills will be demonstrated with most of the time focused on practice and hands-on instruction. Our smaller class sizes will allow for individualized focus and attention. Weekly homework will also be given focusing on strength and/or skill work based on the movement.

If you are serious about improving your CrossFit performance, consider incorporating our gymnastics program into your training.  Carbon is here to help you understand what gymnastics is, how it can be applied progressively and safely to your CrossFit training, and focus on the skill transfer to running, weightlifting, lifting children, and other sports.

CARBON BARBELL

Carbon Barbell is a class that focuses on developing the Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and overall strength under the watchful eye of a coach.  The program will run in sessions meeting weekly with programed skill and lifting.

CARBON Strength

Carbon strength is designed in cycles to complement our general programming but allow our athletes to focus with more detail in increasing overall raw strength and power.  The program will encompass all varieties of squats, presses and pulls from the floor. Each cycle will last between 6-8 weeks in length.  Meeting together as a group to drill and instruct movement and also provide weekly homework. A great deal of the homework for this program will involve accessory work to reduce imbalances and create a more symmetrical athlete.
